Kelvin Gastelum vs. Tyron Woodley booked as co-main event of UFC 183 in Las Vegas

The co-main event of UFC 183 is now set as Ultimate Fighter winner Kelvin Gastelum will meet Tyron Woodley in a welterweight bout.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.

UFC 183 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on January 31st and will be headlined by former middleweight champion Anderson Silva facing former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz.

Gastelum (10-0) is coming off a submission victory against Jake Ellenberger at last weekend’s UFC 180 and two of his five wins in the UFC have come by submission. The victory over Ellenberger moved him up four spots in the UFC rankings to number seven.

Woodley (14-3) has gone 4-2 in the UFC and is currently ranked as the number three contender in the UFC 170 pound division. He is coming off a TKO win against Dong Hyun Kim and has won three of his last four.
