Cody Bollinger is no longer a fighter under contract with the World Series of Fighting as the promotion released him from his contract on Wednesday.
Bollinger announced the release on his Twitter account and World Series of Fighting Executive Shawn Lampman confirmed the news with TheMMAReport.com on Wednesday evening.
The featherweight fighter sent out multiple tweets about his release from the Las Vegas based promotion and made several comments about World Series of Fighting Vice President Ali Abdel-Aziz.
Moving on to better things

Fighters will continue to leave and beg for a release because of him. Good promotion, bad VP

Bollinger (17-3, 1NC) went 2-1 in the World Series of Fighting and the victories came against Tyson Nam and Pablo Alfonso. The fighter struggled to make the bantamweight limit of 136 pounds during his time in the promotion and his last appearance in the promotion came in September when he was submitted by current bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes in a non-title fight.
Following the announcement of Bollinger no longer being under contract with the World Series of Fighting, Titan FC showed interest in the fighter on Twitter.
Who wants to see @CodyBollinger competing inside the #TitanFC Hexagon? @JAronsonTitanFC @lexmcmahonMMA #TitanFC32 December 19th!

@CodyBollinger feel like a short notice super fight @155 hummm????
— Jeff Aronson (@JAronsonTitanFC) December 4, 2014
Bollinger sent a tweet that stated “Time to focus and get back to the UFC! No more distractions!” It’s a well known face that Titan FC has a Zuffa out clause in their contracts and it would seem like it may only be a matter of time before Bollinger is signed by the promotion.
With Aronson asking about a short notice fight at 155 pounds, could Bollinger be an opponent for Rick Hawn at Titan FC 32 in two weeks? Only time will tell.
