A middleweight bout that was scheduled to take place last weekend at UFC on FOX 13 has a new date as Derek Brunson will meet Ed Herman at UFC 183.
The UFC announced the new date for the fight on Thursday’s edition of the UFC Minute on UFC.com.
UFC 183 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on January 31st and will be headlined by former middleweight champion Anderson Silva facing former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz.
Brunson (12-3) has won three of his four fights since coming to the UFC at the end of 2012 and he is coming off a win against Lorenz Larkin at UFC 177 in August. His only defeat in the UFC came at the beginning of the year as he was defeated by Yoel Romero at UFC Fight Night 35.
Herman (22-10, 1NC) will also enter this fight following a victory as he defeated Rafael Natal at UFC Fight Night 40 in May. He has won two of his last three fights and both of those victories have come by decision.
