Jorge Masvidal has pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 59 bout against Norman Parke due to a back injury and replacing Masvidal in the bout will be Gleison Tibau.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening and the new fight booking will be the opening bout of the main card broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
UFC Fight Night 59 will come from the TD Garden in Boston on January 18th and will be headlined by a featherweight bout as Conor McGregor meets Dennis Siver.
Tibau (30-10) has won back to back fights and four of his last five. His most recent win came at UFC Fight Night 51 as he won a split decision against Piotr Hallmann. Parke (20-2-1) has gone unbeaten in his five fights in the UFC and three of those wins came by decision. His last victory came by stoppage as he defeated Naoyuki Kotani by TKO at UFC Fight Night 46.
