TUF 20 Finale main card draws 989k viewers in preliminary ratings

The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale took place on Friday night in Las Vegas and was headlined by Carla Esparza winning the UFC women’s strawweight title with a submission victory against Rose Namajunas.TUF 20 Finale

According to Nielson sources, the main card broadcast on Fox Sports 1 had an average audience of 989,000 viewers while the televised prelims had an average audience of 719,000 viewers. When it came to the peak of the broadcast, it happened during the main event with 1,219,000 viewers.

The main card number came in as one of the top 100 cable shows on Friday night and the show was the number three sports program in the Nielson Twitter TV ratings on that night. While the number was done from The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale in June, it was up from the 903,000 for UFC Fight Night 58 late last month.

Following the main card, Fox Sports Live served as the post fight show and average 300,000 viewers from 11:48 p.m. t0 1 a.m., which is a 39 percent jump over its December 2013 average in the Friday 11:45 p.m. to 1 a.m. window (216,000).
