The UFC will be returning to Dallas on March 14th for UFC 185 and the event will be headlined by a title fight as Anthony Pettis defends the UFC lightweight title against Rafael dos Anjos.
The fight was officially announced during the UFC 182 preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 and was initially reported by Front Row Brian on Twitter.
Pettis (18-2) made his first title defense last month as he defeated former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez by submission in the co-main event of UFC 181. It was his fifth straight victory and his last two wins have come by submission.
Dos Anjos (23-7) is currently on a three fight winning streak and has won eight of his last nine fights. Following a knockout victory over former UFC champion Benson Henderson in August, he returned last month and dominated former title challenger Nate Diaz to score a decision victory.
UFC 185 will come from the American Airlines Center and more information on this upcoming fight card will be announced by the UFC in the coming weeks.
