On Wednesday, TheMMAReport.com reached out to the Nevada Athletic Commission about Evans-Smith being up for a temporary suspension and the commission said the fighter allegedly tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide.

According to Drugs.com, “Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention. Hydrochlorothiazide treats fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heartfailure, cirrhosis of the liver, or kidney disorders, or edema caused by taking steroids or estrogen. This medication is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).”

Evans-Smith will be item number fifteen on Monday’s Nevada Athletic Commission hearing and TheMMAReport.com will have coverage of this commission hearing, which is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. PT.
