The Bellator 132 Weigh-Ins will took place today in Temecula, California and the featherweight title bout is now official after both fighters made weight.
Today’s weigh-ins came from the Cabaret Theater and tomorrow night’s fight card will take place at the Pechanga Resort and Casino.
The fight card will be headlined by a title fight as Patricio Pitbull (144.3 lbs) makes his first Bellator featherweight title defense as he is challenged by former champion Daniel Straus (143.4 lbs) in a rematch of their 2011 bout.
“You want to know something? I am going to raise the competition here and nobody can beat me in this sport,” Pitbull said after making weight. “Tomorrow, Straus you are going to have a big problem.”
The only fighter to miss weight on their first attempt was preliminary card fighter Derek Anderson. He was given an additional two hours to make weight by the California State Athletic Commission and he made weight on his second attempt at 156 pounds.
