The UFC 185 co-main event is now official as Carla Esparza will defend the UFC women’s strawweight title against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
The fight booking was announced on tonight’s edition of UFC Tonight on Fox Sports 2.
UFC 185 will come from the American Airlines Center on March 14th and will be headlined by Anthony Pettis defending the UFC lightweight title against Rafael dos Anjos.
Esparza (10-2) became the inaugural UFC women’s strawweight champion last month when she defeated Rose Namajunas by submission. It was her fifth win in a row and her fourth career win by submission.
Jedrzejczyk (8-0) made her UFC debut last year and has two wins in the promotion. Both of her wins in the UFC have come by decision and her last win came at UFC on FOX 13 last month against Claudia Gadelha.
