A light heavyweight bout that was scheduled to take place in December is now set for UFC on FOX 15 in April as Ultimate Fighter 19 winner Corey Anderson will meet Gian Villante.
UFC officials announced the fight on Tuesday.
UFC on FOX 15 will come from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on April 18 and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Lyoto Machida meets Luke Rockhold.
Anderson (4-0) won The Ultimate Fighter 19 light heavyweight tournament last year when he defeated Matt Van Buren by TKO. After Villante pulled out of their bout at UFC 181, he was booked to face Justin Jones and he won that fight by unanimous decision.
Villante (12-5) has gone 2-2 since entering the UFC and he is one of the main training partners of middleweight champion Chris Weidman. He will enter this fight following a victory as he defeated Sean O’Connell last year by split decision.
