A women’s bantamweight bout has been added to UFC Fight Night 63 on April 4 as former title challenger Liz Carmouche meets Lauren Murphy.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.
UFC Fight Night 63 will come from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia and will be headlined by Chad Mendes meeting Ricardo Lamas in a featherweight bout.
Carmouche (9-5) has lost back to back fights and three of her four fights in the UFC. Both of her recent defeats have come by decision and the last one came against Miesha Tate. Murphy (8-1) signed with the UFC last year and lost her debut in August against Sara McMann by split decision. Prior to entering the UFC, she won the Invicta women’s bantamweight title with a TKO win over Miriam Nakamoto.
