With Tarec Saffiedine being out of the UFC Fight Night 60 main event, Matt Brown has been moved to the UFC 185 card and will meet former champion Johny Hendricks.
With Brown being moved to another card, the welterweight bout between Brandon Thatch and Stephen Thompson will now headlined UFC Fight Night 60.
UFC officials announced the fights on late Tuesday afternoon.
UFC Fight Night 60 will take place on February 14 from Broomfield, Colorado and UFC 185 will take place in Dallas, Texas on March 14.
Brown (19-12) is coming off a lost to current UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and that defeat snapped a seven fight winning streak. During that winning streak, six of the wins came by TKO/KO and won a fight night bonus in three of those fights. Hendricks (16-3) was expected to have his trilogy bout with Lawler but he wanted to return quickly as Lawler is not expected to return until May. Hendricks is 1-2 in his last three fights and both of the defeats came by split decision.
Thatch (11-1) is currently on a ten fight winning streak and two of those wins have come in the UFC. Injuries have keep him on the sideline in 2014 as his last fight came in November of last year as he defeated Paulo Thiago at UFC Fight Night 32. Thompson (10-1) has won five of his six fights in the UFC and is currently on a four fight winning streak. His most recent victory came in September as he defeated Patrick Cote by decision at UFC 178.
