The next Titan FC event will take place on March 20th at Mobile AeroFest in Alabama and the promotion has announced three of the four title fights that will be on the card.
Titan FC officials announced on Friday that Jon Madsen meets Chase Gormley for the vacant heavyweight title, Desmond Green defends the featherweight title against Kurt Holobaugh, and Walel Watson faces Brett Johns for the vacant bantamweight title.
“Mobile AeroFest is a very special event that will be bringing the Gulf Coast Community together for our nation’s veterans— as such we wanted to put forth our most compelling fight card Titan to date,” said Titan FC COO Lex McMahon. “The Gulf Coast is MMA Country and we are confident that the AeroFest Title Fights will have a full house.”
Tickets are now on sale for Mobile AeroFest at www.aerofest.org at $30 per day and $45 for the weekend. 5,000 tickets will also be given away to disabled veterans and their caregivers and family.
Madsen (8-1) will be making his Titan FC debut and is coming off a knockout win last year against Matt Foster. The fight against Foster was his first fight in nearly three years and it was his fourth career victory by TKO/KO. Gormley (11-4, 1NC) has won four in a row and is coming off a decision win against Dale Sopi at RFA 21. Six of his victories have come by stoppage and four of them have come by TKO/KO.
Green (14-3) became the Titan FC featherweight champion in December as he defeated Steven Siler by decision. It was his second straight win and he has won five of his last six fights. Holobaugh (13-2) is on a four fight winning streak and two of those wins have come in Titan FC. His most recent victory came in August as he defeated Lloyd Woodard by TKO.
Watson (13-7) signed with Titan FC earlier this year and he has won both of his fights in the promotion by submission. His most recent win came in September at Titan FC 30 as he submitted Gutierrez with a triangle choke in the first round. Johns (10-0) recently signed with the promotion and his last four fights have come in Cage Warriors. His last three wins have come by decision and five of his career wins have come by knockout or submission.
