The UFC 183 Weigh-Ins took place today in Las Vegas, Nevada and Kelvin Gastelum and John Lineker both missed weight by several pounds.
Today’s weigh-ins came from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and the same venue will host tomorrow night’s fight card.
The card will be headlined by former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (186 lbs) returning from injury and he will meet former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz (185 lbs) in a middleweight bout.
“Anderson is the best there is, so we’re here to fight the best there is,” Diaz said after making weight. “We’re taking on the world here, one fight at a time.”
Gastelum was scheduled to meet Tyron Woodley in a welterweight bout and missed weight by nine pounds while Linker was four pounds over the flyweight limit for his bout against Ian McCall. Both fighters will be fined 30 percent of their purses and their fights will go forward as catchweight bout.
