UFC Fight Night 61 took place on Sunday night at the Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Brazil and was headlined by Frank Mir scoring his first victory in over three years as he defeated Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva by knockout in the first round. 
After a feeling out process for thirty seconds, Mir began to land his jab and eventually dropped Silva. After landing a couple of punches on the ground, referee Mario Yamasaki came in to stop the fight.
