The main event of UFC 187 on May 23 in Las Vegas is now official as light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will defend his title against Anthony Johnson.
The fight booking was announced during UFC Tonight and three other fights were made official on the show with the matchups being Donald Cerrone vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov, Travis Browne vs. Andrei Arlovski, and Joseph Benavidez vs. John Moraga.
UFC 187 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and tickets information will be announced shortly by the UFC.
Jones (21-1) is coming off his eighth UFC title defense as he defeated Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 last month. He has won his last three title defenses by unanimous decision and his last stoppage victory came in 2013 against Chael Sonnen.
Johnson (19-4) has won nine in a row since losing to Vitor Belfort at the beginning of 2012 and three of those wins have come in the UFC. His most recent victory came last month as he defeated former title challenger Alexander Gustafsson by TKO at UFC on FOX 14.
