A featherweight bout has been added to the Bellator 134 fight card at the end of the month as season ten featherweight tournament semifinalist Matt Bessette will meet Josh LaBerge on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was confirmed to The MMA Report by sources close to the promotion.
Bellator 134 will come from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut on February 27 and will be headlined by Emanuel Newton defending the Bellator light heavyweight title against Liam McGeary.
Bessette (13-6) has lost back to back fights and the last defeat came in September against Scott Cleve. His most notable win in Bellator came at the beginning of last year when he defeated Diego Nunes in the season ten featherweight tournament opening round. LaBerge (9-4) is currently on a seven fight winning streak and is coming off a win in March of last year against Steve McCabe. His last win came after being away from the sport for three years and five of his victories have come by stoppage.
