A trilogy bout is set for UFC 186 in April as Sarah Kaufman will meet Alexis Davis for the third time in a women’s bantamweight bout that is expected to be on the televised preliminary card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday evening.
UFC 186 will come from the Bell Centre in Montreal on April 25 and will be headlined by a title rematch as T.J. Dillashaw defends the bantamweight title against Renan Barao.
Kaufman (17-2, 1NC) already has defeated Davis twice and the most recent meeting took place in Strikeforce when she won by majority decision. Her last fight came in April of last year and defeated Leslie Smith by unanimous decision.
Davis (16-6) is coming off a defeat to women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in July and the defeat snapped a five fight winning streak. All of her victories in the UFC have come by decision and her last stoppage victory came in 2013 against Shayna Baszler.
