The UFC 187 fight card has officially added two more fights as Rose Namajunas meets Nina Ansaroff in a strawweight bout and in a flyweight bout, Justin Scoggins faces Josh Sampo.
Both fight bookings were announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.
UFC 187 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 23 and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson.
Namajunas (2-2) made it to the finals of The Ultimate Fighter 20 and lost to Carla Esparza in the inaugural UFC women’s strawweight title fight. Officially, it was her second straight defeat as he previous defeat came against Tecia Torres. Ansaroff (6-4) also lost her UFC debut as she was defeated in November by Juliana Lima. The defeat snapped a five fight winning streak and all of those wins came by stoppage.
Scoggins (9-2) has dropped back to back fights after starting with two straight wins in the UFC. His most recent defeat came in September as he was submitted by John Moraga. Sampo (11-4) will also enter this fight following back to back defeats. His last appearance in the octagon was in July as he was submitted by Paddy Holohan.
