The second light heavyweight tournament semifinal for the inaugural WSOF light heavyweight title is now set as Vinny Magalhaes will meet Matt Hamill in the main event of WSOF 20 on April 10th in Connecticut.
The event and fight booking was announced by WSOF President Ray Sefo during the WSOF 18 main card broadcast on Thursday evening.
Magalhaes (12-7, 1NC) has won back to back fights and won the Titan FC light heavyweight title in September with a submission win against Jason Brilz. He is 8-2 in his last ten and six of those wins have come by submission.
Hamill (11-5) was signed by the WSOF last year and this will be his first fight since exiting the UFC. He has lost three of his last four fights and the defeats have come against Quinton Jackson, Alexander Gustafsson, and Thiago Silva.
WSOF 20 will come from the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut and the co-main event will be a lightweight bout as Melvin Guillard meets Ozzy Dugulubgov.
