Bellator 135: Warren vs. Galvao fight card finalized with eight fight preliminary card

The complete fight card for this month’s Bellator 135 from the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma has been announced by Bellator with the addition of eight bouts to take place on the preliminary card.Bellator 135

The preliminary card will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT on Spike.com and the most notable bout on the prelims will be a bantamweight bout as L.C. Davis meets Hideo Tokoro.

The main card on Spike TV will start at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with four fights and will be headlined by a title fight as Joe Warren makes his first bantamweight title defense as he is challenged by Marcos Galvao.

  1. On the the Bellator/ Rampage situation everybody is on Rampage’s side. And you always say how can Bellator prove there wasn’t a breech of contract. But everybody is just believing Rampage and his managers. How can they prove there was a breech of contract? There’s no proof. This isn’t the 1st time Rampage is at odds with promoters/ MMA promotions. WFA/ Pride/ UFC/ Bellator, ect.

    1. Rampage’s legal team does not have to tell the public why there is a breach. They can do that in a court of law, just like Bellator. Personally, I find it hard to believe that Lorenzo Fertitta and the Zuffa lawyers would sign Rampage if they were not convinced that there was a breach of contract.

      In what was reported by Newsday yesterday, it does not state why there is not a breach. They just labeled out what they paid him and did for him. Bellator has to prove their is a breach. Giving him additional money does not mean that their is not a breach of contract.

      1. I think Rampage knew if he went back to the UFC he’d make more money on PPV. Also have the money he made in Bellator. I think he’s playing the system. This helps the UFC in the Anti Trust Lawsuit. Lorenzo and Dana know Rampage’s value. Rampage = more PPV buys.

        1. End of the day, court system will decide who is right and who is wrong. No matter what happens, Bellator does not win in the long run. This is just my opinion. If they win this and stop Rampage from fighting, he is not coming to Bellator. Likely would end his career. If that were to happen, it would hurt Bellator’s chances of landing fighters. Kind of like how the Eddie Alvarez situation hurt their chances in signing fighters. I understand why Bellator is doing this. They basically had no choice. They don’t want other fighters doing the same thing. However, I don’t see how they win in the long run.

          Let’s say they win and force Rampage to fight for them and he choses to retire. Does Bellator/Viacom want to be known as the promotion that caused Rampage Jackson to walk away from the sport?

        2. I agree it’s a lose/ lose situation. Maybe they get the money back that they paid Rampage Idk.

  2. Also why would Bellator sue Rampage and hurt their image again? And this hurts them in getting free agents too. Rampage is mad that Bjorn isn’t there anymore and he doesn’t like Scott Coker.

  3. Plus why would Bellator breech contract? He was their biggest name and would give them a lot of ratings/ attendance/ gate. Rampage vs Tito would be huge for them. Rampage does this with every promoter/ MMA promotion. We’ll just have to wait and see how this unfolds.
