Bellator 135: Warren vs. Galvao II Pre-Fight Breakdown

Bellator will return on Friday night as the promotion will be at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma and the event will be headlined by a rematch as Joe Warren defends the Bellator bantamweight title against Marcos Galvao.Bellator 135

The fight card will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT with the online preliminary card and the four fight main card will start at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Spike TV.

Along with the bantamweight title fight, the co-main event will also be a bantamweight bout as L.C. Davis looks for his third win in Bellator as he meets veteran Hideo Tokoro.

Joe Warren (12-3) vs. Marcos Galvao (16-6-1)
Warren will be making his first unified bantamweight title defense against Galvao and in their first meeting, he won by controversial decision. He will enter this fight on a five fight winning streak and this will mark his second straight fight to take place at the WinStar World Casino.

Tokoro will fight in the United States for the second time in his career and his only other fight in the United States came in 2007 when he defeated Brad Pickett by submission. He has lost back to back fights and he is 6-4 in his last ten fights.

Francis Carmont (22-10) vs. Guilherme Viana (6-1)
Carmont is making his Bellator debut and is moving up to the light heavyweight division. This will be his first fight since his exit from the UFC and will be looking to snap a three fight losing streak.

  • Before losing three in a row, Carmont had won eleven fights in a row.
  • Went 6-3 in the UFC.
  • 16 wins by knockout or submission.

Viana is also making his Bellator debut and along with this being his Bellator debut, this is also his United States debut. He enters this fight on a three fight winning streak and all three of those wins have come by stoppage.

  • Only career defeat came in 2012 against Rodney Wallace by split decision.

Cochrane made his Bellator debut last year when he stepped up on six days notice to meet Alexander Sarnavskiy. He would be defeated by submission and he will enter this fight following a 43 second victory over Ted Worthington by TKO.
