Ben Fodor aka Phoenix Jones has an opponent for his WSOF debut on April 10 in Connecticut as he will meet Emmanuel Walo in a welterweight bout.
The fight booking was reported by MMA Fighting earlier today as WSOF Executive Vice President Ali Abdel-Aziz confirmed the fight booking to Ariel Helwani.
WSOF 20 will come from the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut and will be headlined by middleweight champion David Branch moving up to the light heavyweight division to meet Ronny Markes in a semifinal bout in the promotions 205 pound tournament to crown the inaugural champion.
Fodor (5-0-1) is the brother of current ONE Championship fighter Caros Fodor and he gained headlines back in 2011 as a costumed crime fighter in Seattle know as Phoenix Jones. His last MMA bout came last month as he defeated Jason Novelli by technical submission in the third round. Walo (7-2-1) won his WSOF debut last year as he defeated Tenyeh Dixon by disqualification at WSOF 13. His last fight took place outside of the WSOF and he was defeated by CES MMA welterweight champion Chuck O’Neil.
