A rumored welterweight bout is now official for UFC Fight Night 67 on May 30 in Goiania, Brazil as Carlos Condit will return from injury and will meet Thiago Alves.
The fight booking was made official by the UFC on Friday.
Condit (29-8) has been out of action since last year when he tore his ACL against Tyron Woodley at UFC 171. He will enter this fight with defeats in three of his last four fights and his last win came in August of 2013 as he defeated Martin Kampmann by TKO.
Alves (21-9) has won back to back fights since returning from multiple injuries and he has won a fight night bonus in both of those fights. His most recent win came in January as he won a performance of the night bonus for his second round victory against Jordan Mein at UFC 183.
UFC Fight Night 67: Condit vs. Alves is expected to come from the Goiania Arena and more information on this event will be announced shortly by the UFC.
