Josh Koscheck vs. Erick Silva official as co-main event of next week’s UFC Fight Night 62 in Brazil

The UFC has made it official, Josh Koscheck is replacing an injured Ben Saunders on next week’s UFC Fight Night 62 card in Brazil and he will meet Erick Silva in the co-main event of the fight card.

The fight was made official during the UFC 185 Weigh-In Show on Fox Sports 2 on Friday afternoon.

UFC Fight Night 62 will come from the Ginasio do Maracanazinho in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on March 21 and will be headlined by Demian Maia meeting Ryan LaFlare in a welterweight bout.

Koscheck (17-9) has dropped four in a row, including a submission defeat to Jake Ellenberger last weekend at UFC 184. His last three defeats have come by stoppage and this is the last fight on his UFC contract. Silva (17-5, 1NC) has won two of his last three fights and is 5-4 in the UFC. He is coming off a win against Mike Rhodes in December and he has won a five night bonus in six of his last seven fights.
