Invicta FC strawweight champion Katja Kankaanpaa will make her first title defense at Invicta FC 12 on April 24 in Kansas City as she will face Livia Souza.
The event and fight booking was confirmed to ESPN via Invicta FC officials.
Kankaanpaa (10-1-1) won the vacant Invicta FC strawweight title in September as she defeated Stephanie Eggink by submission. She has won four of her last five and her only career defeated came against Joanne Calderwood in 2013.
Souza (7-0) will be making her Invicta FC debut against Kankaanpaa and six of her seven wins have come by submission. Her most recent victory came in September as she defeated Camila Lima by submission in 47 seconds.
