A matchup of lightweights has been added to the UFC on FOX 16 card in July as Ultimate Fighter alum Daron Cruickshank will meet James Krause on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday.
UFC on FOX 16 will come from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on July 25th and will be headlined a title rematch as T.J. Dillashaw defends the bantamweight title against former champion Renan Barao.
Cruickshank (16-6, 1NC) is coming off a submission defeat in March against Beneil Dariush and is 1-2, 1NC in his last four fights. His only win in his last four fights came at UFC Fight Night 54 as he defeated Anthony Njokuani by decision. Krause (21-7) has dropped back to back fights and three of his last four. His most recent fight came in February as he lost a split decision against Valmir Lazaro.
