Matt Brown is no longer facing Nate Diaz at UFC 189 as he will now meet Tim Means on the July 11th fight card in Las Vegas.
The new fight booking was announced on Fox Sports 1 today during America’s Pregame show.
UFC 189 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by a title fight as Jose Aldo defends the featherweight title against Conor McGregor.
Means (24-6-1) has won four in a row and six of his last eight fights. He is coming off an arm triangle choke submission against George Sullivan this past weekend at UFC on FOX 15 and his last two wins have come by stoppage. Brown (19-13) is coming off a decision defeat to former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks at UFC 185. It was his second straight defeat and his last win came in May of last year as he defeated Erick Silva in the main event of UFC Fight Night 40.
