A heavyweight rematch that was scheduled to take place in February at Bellator 134 has been rescheduled as Bobby Lashley will meet James Thompson at Bellator 138 in June.
The fight booking was reported by the Denver Post and Bellator has confirmed the fight booking with The MMA Report.
Bellator 138: Unfinished Business will come from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on June 19 and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Kimbo Slice meets Ken Shamrock.
Lashley (12-2) has won five in a row since losing a decision to Thompson at Super Fight League 3 in 2012. He is 2-0 since coming to Bellator and both of those wins have come by stoppage. Thompson (20-14, 1NC) is unbeaten in his last six fights and defeated Eric Prindle in his Bellator debut last year. During his unbeaten streak, he has four wins by stoppage and two of those wins have come in the first round.
