A heavyweight bout that was reported over the weekend is now official as Stefan Struve will meet Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 190 in Brazil.
The fight booking was made official by the UFC on Tuesday.
UFC 190 will come from the HSBC Arena on August 1st and will be headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the UFC women’s bantamweight title against Bethe Correia.
Struve (25-7) will enter this fight following back to back defeats and both of those defeats have come by TKO/KO. The most recent defeat came in December as he lost to Alistair Overeem at UFC on FOX 13.
Nogueira (34-9-1, 1NC) also enters this fight will back to back defeats as he was stopped in both of those fights. His last defeat came in April of last year against Roy Nelson and his last win came in 2012 against Dave Herman.
