The co-main event of next week’s UFC 187 will be a middleweight title fight as champion Chris Weidman defends the title against Vitor Belfort and Herb Dean will the third man in the cage as he was named the referee on Friday.
Nevada Athletic Commission Executive Director Bob Bennett recommended Dean as the referee during Friday’s Nevada Athletic Commission meeting.
The commissioners unanimously approved Dean as the referee and also approved the judges being Sal D’Amoto, Marcos Rosales, and Junichiro Kamijo.
UFC 187: Johnson vs. Cormier will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on next Saturday night and the current fight card lineup is below.
