A women’s bantamweight bout has been added to the UFC on FOX 16 card on July 25 in Chicago as Ultimate Fighter alum Jessamyn Duke will meet Elizabeth Phillips on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Thursday evening.
UFC on FOX 16 will come from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on July 25 and will be headlined a title rematch as T.J. Dillashaw defends the bantamweight title against former champion Renan Barao.
Duke (3-2, 1NC) defeated Phillips back in 2012 by submission in an amateur bout at RFA 2. She is 1-2 in the UFC and is coming off a TKO defeat to Leslie Smith last year. Phillips (4-3) has lost both of her fights in the UFC and her last defeat came against Milana Dudieva. Three of her four wins have come by stoppage and two of those wins came by TKO/KO.
