Cavalcante (19-8-1, 2NC) is coming off a win against Gele Qing at KungFu Union in September of last year. It was late last year, that it was reported that Cavalcante was set to sign with Titan FC.

However, a contract issue did not allow Cavalcante to sign with Titan FC and after some time had past, he was allowed to join the promotion that is based in South Florida. When you talk to fighters about why they sign with Titan FC, a majority of them will mention the Zuffa out clause in the contracts. For Cavalcante, one of the main reasons he signed with Titan FC was due to the promotion being able to keep him fighting consistently.

“What I see with Titan is that they are having consistent show and they are putting guys into fights consistently,” Cavalcante told The MMA Report. “One thing that I believe in my career is that is what I need right now. I need to get into the flow. I want to climb all the way to the top. I am healthy. I am training and I am feeling good at the gym.”

The next title fight card is expected to take place in June at a venue in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The exact date of this event has not been announced by Titan FC at this time and Cavalcante is expecting to be fighting on this fight card.

“I have a high exception for that. I am ready. I am ready to fight. If they say I have a fight in June, I am ready. If they have a fight in May, ok. Let’s do it.”

The Titan FC lightweight division has notable names and the current champion is Pat Healy. He is expected to defend the 155 pound title against Mike Ricci, so who does Cavalcante want to fight? Simply put, he is ready to take on anyone.

“I know that Pat Healy just won the title,” he said. “I know Mike Ricci is supposed to fight him. Those are the two big names I know in my division. The top guys they have are already set up to fight so I am trying to figure out the other names they have and who are they guys that can make a good fight. Who can bring some value on my career.”
