An undisclosed injury has forced Lazar Stojadinovic to pull out of his scheduled bout against Matt Bessette at CES MMA 29 and stepping up to replace Stojadinovic will be Lenny Wheeler.
Bessette announced the new fight booking on social media this week.
CES MMA 29 will come from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island on June 12 and will be headlined by Chuck O’Neil defending the CES MMA welterweight title against Dominique Steele.
Wheeler (8-3, 1NC) us unbeaten in his last three fights and is coming off a TKO win in March against Yuki Baba. All of his wins have come by finish and five of those wins are by TKO/KO. Bessette (14-6) is coming off a win against Josh LaVerge at Bellator 134 in February and his contract expired with Bellator after that fight. He has won six of his last eight fights and four of those wins came in Bellator.
