The co-main event of WSOF 22 will be a title fight as bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes will defend the bantamweight title against Sheymon Moraes.
The fight booking was initially reported by Sherdog and WSOF Executive Vice President Ali Abdel-Aziz confirmed the fight booking with MMA Fighting on early Wednesday morning.
WSOF 22 will come from The Axis inside the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on August 1st and will be headlined by Rouismar Palhares defending the welterweight title against Jake Shields.
Moraes (14-4-1) won the inaugural WSOF bantamweight title last year when he defeated Josh Rettinghouse by unanimous decision. He is coming off a successful title defense in February as he defeated Mike Hill by unanimous decision at WSOF 18. Moraes (7-0) made his WSOF debut in December and defeated Gabriel Solorio by split decision. It was his third career win by decision and his other four wins have come by TKO/KO.
