A bantamweight bout has been added to June’s UFC Fight Night 70 in Brazil as Rani Yahya will meet Masanori Kanehara.
The fight booking was initially reported by Combate and the UFC has since confirmed the matchup.
UFC Fight Night 70 will come from Sao Paulo, Brazil on June 27 and will serve as the finale for The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4.
Yahya (20-8, 1NC) returned to bantamweight last year and is coming off a submission win against Johnny Bedford at UFC Fight Night 51. He is 4-1, 1NC in his last six fights and two of those wins have come by submission. Kanehara (25-11-5) won his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 52 last year against Alex Caceres and is 7-1 in his last eight. Five of his last six wins have come by stoppage in the first round and four of those came by TKO/KO.
