Juliana Lima needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 67 after Jessica Penne was moved to another card to face Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the UFC title and Lima’s new opponent will be UFC newcomer Ericka Almeida.
The fight change was reported by Combate today and the UFC has not officially announced the change at this time.
UFC Fight Night 67 will come from the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil on May 30 and the fight card will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Carlos Condit returns from injury to meet Thiago Alves.
Almeida (7-0) has won all of her fights by stoppage and six of those wins have come by submission. Her most recent win came last month as she submitted Jennifer Gonzalez by triangle choke at Jungle Fight 76. Lima (7-2) has gone 1-1 in the UFC and is coming off a win in November against Nina Ansaroff. Both of her career defeats are by unanimous decision and she is 2-2 in her last four fights.
