UFC Fight Night 67 will take place tonight from the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil and the televised portion of the card will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Fox Sports 1.
The event will be headlined by a welterweight bout as former WEC champion Carlos Condit meets former UFC title challenger Thiago Alves.
Take a look at my Draft Kings preview and recommended lineup for tonight’s event.
(For those that are unfamiliar with the Draft Kings format of daily MMA betting: with a cap of $50,000, the objective is to select 5 fighters – who have been allotted prices – to produce as many points as possible. The rules on how points are scored by a particular fighter can be found on the bottom of this article.)
Carlos Condit ($11,100) vs. Thiago Alves
There’s a lot of risk taking Condit here because there’s a high level of risk anytime you take a guy that’s coming off of a significant injury, but if Condit fights close to the form he showed in 2013. It also wouldn’t be that surprising to see Alves have a bit of success early as Condit shakes the rust. Nevertheless, as the fight goes on and as Condit becomes more comfortable, he should be able to use his aggressive striking approach to punish Alves and eventually put him away.
Alex Oliveira ($10,000) vs. KJ Noons
Expect a lot of landed strikes from both of the practically pure-strikers here (Oliveira does have some aspects of grappling to his game, although I’d expect that he keeps the fight on the feet). The thought process with picking Oliveira here is that Noons has appeared to have lost a step late in his career. With Oliveira, bank on youth and speed.
Tom Breese ($9,500) and Nicolas Dalby ($9,800)
The thought process between tabbing Tom Breese and Nicolas Dalby here is taking two talented prospects that are being undervalued. Breese has climbed up the ranks in BAMMA as well as Cage Warriors, and between his youth and size, there’s a lot to like about a potential play of him earning a submission against Luiz Dutra. Dalby is probably the best prospect debuting on tonight’s card, and the 30-year-old should be able to justify the hype versus Elizeu dos Santos.
Darren Till ($9,500) vs. Wendell Oliveira
While Darren Till is a late replacement, he’s come out as just a slight underdog heading into his fight against Wendell Oliveira, and I really like the value here. Oliveira left a lot to be desired in his UFC debut and left little to be excited about. Till has shown quite a bit of promise, albeit not against the best competition, prior to his call-up to the UFC, and I believe that run of promise continues against tonight.
