Former UFC welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck is now a Bellator fighter as the Ultimate Fighter alum has signed a deal with the California based promotion.
The signing was announced during Friday’s Bellator 139 fight card on Spike TV.
Koscheck (17-10) had 25 fights in the UFC and was a participant in the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter. He challenged Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title in 2010 and was defeated by decision.
He will enter Bellator with five straight defeats and his last win came in 2012 against Mike Pierce. The timetable for his debut in Bellator was not announced tonight and it’s likely he will step into the Bellator cage before the end of the year.
