An undisclosed injury has forced Matt Van Buren to pull out of UFC Fight Night 73 bout against Jonathan Wilson and taking his place in the bout will be Jared Cannonier.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Thursday afternoon.
UFC Fight Night 73 will come from the Bridgestone Arena on August 8 and will be headlined by Ovince St. Preux meeting Glover Teixeira in a battle of top ten UFC light heavyweights.
Cannonier (7-1) made his UFC debut at the beginning of the year as a heavyweight and was defeated by Shawn Jordan at UFC 182. Six of his seven wins have come by stoppage and five of those came in the first round. Wilson (6-0) was signed by the UFC late last year and was supposed to make his debut at UFC 181 against Corey Anderson. However, he had to pull out of the event and this will be his first fight since August of last year.
