A middleweight bout is reportedly in the works for UFC Fight Night 77 in Japan as Gegard Mousasi and Roan Carneiro will meet on the main card.
The fight booking was reported by MMA Planet on Saturday and the fight booking has not been confirmed by the UFC at this time.
UFC Fight Night 77 will come from the Saitama Super Arena on September 27 and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Roy Nelson meets Josh Barnett.
Mousasi (37-5-2) has won back to back fights and is coming off a decision win in May against Costas Philippou. He is 4-2 since coming to the UFC in 2013 and has won a fight night bonus in three of those bouts. Carneiro (20-9) returned to the UFC in February and defeated Mark Munoz by decision. He has won six in a row and five of those wins have come by stoppage.
