A women’s bantamweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night 73 card in Nashville, Tennessee on August 8 as former title challenger Sara McMann will meet Amanda Nunes.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Monday.
UFC Fight Night 73 will come from the Bridgestone Arena on August 8 and will be headlined by Ovince St. Preux meeting Glover Teixeira in a battle of top ten UFC light heavyweights.
McMann (8-2) has dropped two of her last three fights after starting her MMA career with seven straight wins. She will enter this fight following a defeat as she lost a majority decision to Miesha Tate in January at UFC 183. Nunes (10-4) has won three of her four fights in the UFC and all of those wins have come by TKO. Her most recent fight came in March as she defeated Ultimate Fighter 20 alum Shayna Baszler.
