“The Bull” will be looking to become a champion on Saturday night at Titan FC 34 as Bellmore Kickboxing product Andre Harrison will be challenging featherweight champion Kurt Holobaugh in the co-main event.
Harrison (9-0) made his Titan FC debut at the end of last year and both of his wins in the promotion have come by unanimous decision. His most recent win came over Cody Bollinger at Titan FC 33 and he admits that has made mistakes in both of his Titan FC fights.
“When we fight, it’s almost like taking a test on school work you have been doing,” Harrison told The MMA Report. “So you get out there, take your test and when you get your scores back, you review and fix the mistakes you made. Certain mistakes I made have made when I fought Cody Bollinger and even Aaron Neveu. Those are things I have been working on to fix them and they will not happen again.”
The win over Bollinger secured Harrison a title shot and this will be the biggest fight of his career. In fact, it could be said that this may be the fight that gets him into the UFC. Does Harrison have this view heading into Titan FC 34?
“It could possibly well be. Kurt is definitely a tough dude and has a great record,” Harrison stated. “He was once in the UFC at one point of time as well. It’s another UFC vet that I am fighting. It could very well be the fight that puts me there.”
Harrison believes cardio will be a key in his fight against Holobaugh. Both fighters like to push the pace and Harrison believes this will be a very entertaining fight for the fans.
“The fact that Kurt pushes forward so much and he is definitely game to exchange. I think that is a very exciting that because I am looking to do similar things. I think us throwing those kind of exchanges will be exciting for the fans of both of us. We fight and we enjoy it.”
When it comes to the fight, Harrison is confident that he will walk away with the Titan FC featherweight title. His prediction for the fight is that he is going to get his hand raised as the victory and if this happens, it would appear likely that his next fight will come in the UFC.
