The next season of The Ultimate Fighter will begin filming shortly and the coaches for this season will be newly crowned interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor and former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber.
UFC President Dana White announced McGregor and Faber as the coaches during The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale main card broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
The Ultimate Fighter 22 will feature 16 fighters in the lightweight division and will be United States vs. Europe. The show premiere on Wednesday, September 9 with a two-hour season premiere airing at 10 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 and the cast will be announced in the coming weeks by the UFC.
