Jimmie Rivera signs with UFC, replaces Ian Entwistle at UFC Fight Night 72 and meets Marcus Brimage

Ian Entwistle recently pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 72 bout against Marcus Brimage and the UFC has signed Jimmie Rivera to take the place on Entwistle in this bout. UFC Fight Night 72

The UFC has not officially announced the change, but Rivera confirmed he has signed with UFC and facing Brimage on social media.

UFC Fight Night 72 will come from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on July 18 and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Michael Bisping meets Thales Leites.

Rivera (16-1) is the latest Cage Fury Fighting Championship fighter to sign with the UFC and he is currently on a 15 fight winning streak. His most recent win came against Carson Beebe in May by knockout and he has scored victories in Bellator and WSOF. Brimage (7-4) will enter this fight following a defeat to Cody Garbrandt at UFC 182. He has dropped three of his last four fights and has gone 1-2 in the UFC bantamweight division.
