Bellator will be returning to the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California on August 28 for Bellator 141 and the event will be headlined by a lightweight bout as Melvin Guillard makes his promotional debut against Brandon Girtz.
The fight booking was announced by Bellator on Wednesday.
Tickets for Bellator 141, which start at just $50, go on sale this Friday at Pechanga.com and the Pechanga Resort & Casino box office.
Guillard (32-12-2, 2NC) was recently signed by Bellator after he was released from his WSOF contract and this will be his first fight in 2015. He is 2-2, 1NC in his last five fights and both of those wins came by TKO/KO. Girtz (11-4) made his Bellator debut in 2012 and is 4-2 in the promotion. He will enter this fight following a victory as he defeated Benny Madrid by TKO at Bellator 126 last year.
“Since signing Melvin [Guillard] in May, we have been anxious to get him inside the Bellator cage,” Bellator President Scott Coker said. “Brandon Girtz has performed well for us and will face his stiffest competition to date when he meets the 50-fight veteran. I’m really looking forward to the event, as well as returning to one of our favorite venues in Pechanga Resort and Casino.”
