A light heavyweight bout that was recently reported is now official as Misha Cirkunov will make his UFC debut against Sean O’Connell at UFC Fight Night 74. 
The UFC announced the fight booking on late Monday.
UFC Fight Night 74 will come from the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon on August 23 and will be headlined by a featherweight bout as Max Holloway meets Charles Oliveria.
Cirkunov (9-2) was recently signed by the UFC and is currently on a four fight winning streak. Seven of his nine career victories have come by stoppage and all of those victories have come in the first round. O’Connell (17-6) has won back to back fights after starting 0-2 in the UFC. His most recent win came in May as he defeated Anthony Perosh by TKO at UFC Fight Night 65.
