The UFC will be returning to Japan in September for a Fight Night card and the UFC has announced two new fights with the matchups being Li Jingliang vs. Kiichi Kunimoto and Kid Yamamoto vs. Matt Hobar.
The new fight bookings were announced by the UFC on Thursday and the promotion also announced that Kyoji Horiguchi will be on a card against an opponent to be determined.
UFC Fight Night 77 will come from the Saitama Super Arena on September 27 and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Roy Nelson meets Josh Barnett.
Jingliang (10-3) has won two of his three fights in the UFC and is coming off a knockout win in May against Dhiego Lima. His winning streak was snapped in February when he was defeated by Neil Magy.
Yamamoto (18-6, 2NC) entered the UFC in 2011 and is winless in his last four fights. He will enter this fight following a no-contest (accidental eye poke) at UFC 184 against Roman Salazar. Hobar (9-3) has dropped two of his three fights in the UFC since coming to the promotion last year. His most recent fight took place in December of last year as he lost a decision against Sergio Pettis.
