Bellator will return Friday night as the promotion will be at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California and the event will be headlined by a lightweight bout as Melvin Guillard makes his Bellator debut against Brandon Girtz.
The fight card will begin at 7:45 p.m. ET/4:45 p.m. PT with the online preliminary card and the fout fight main card will start at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Spike TV.
Along with the main event lightweight bout, the co-main event will be a battle of former lightweight tournament finalist as Patricky “Pitbull” Freire meets Saad Awad.

Melvin Guillard (32-14-2, 2 NC) vs. Brandon Girtz (11-4)
Guillard was signed by Bellator earlier this year after he was released from his contract with the World Series of Fighting and will be looking for his first win since July of last year when he defeated JZ Cavalcante. Guillard is 2-2, 1NC in his last five fights and this will be his first fight in 2015.

- Most knockdowns landed (13) and most TKO/KO wins (8) in UFC lightweight division history.
- Won a Fight Night bonus five times in the UFC.
Girtz has been in Bellator since 2012 and was a participant in the season ten lightweight tournament. He is 3-1 in his last four fights and is coming off a 57-second TKO victory against Benny Madrid at Bellator 126 last year.
- His victory over Madrid is the 8th fastest victory in Bellator lightweight division history.
- Two of his victories in Bellator have come by armbar submission.
- Seven career wins by submission.
Patricky “Pitbull” Freire (13-6) vs. Saad Awad (18-6)
Pitbull is a veteran of the Bellator lightweight division and will be stepping into the cage for the first time since losing to Marcin Held in the season ten lightweight tournament final last year. That defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and he is 6-5 in Bellator.
- This will be his first fight in 336 days, which is the 2nd longest layoff of his career.
- Tied with Awad for the 4th most wins in Bellator lightweight division history.
- Holds the 6th fastest victory in Bellator lightweight division history with his 50-second victory against Kurt Pellegrino at Bellator 59.
Awad was a lightweight tournament finalist during the season eight tournament in 2013 and enters this fight on a three fight winning streak. He is 4-1 in his last five fights and the defeat came against current lightweight champion Will Brooks during the season nine lightweight tournament.
- Tied for the 2nd fastest finish in Bellator lightweight division history with his 31-second TKO victory over Guillaume DeLorenzi at Bellator 87.
- His 43-second victory against Brooks at Bellator 91 is the 4th fastest victory in lightweight competition.

Justin Wren (10-2) vs. Josh Burns (8-8)
Wren returns to competition for the first time since 2010, which was a submission victory against Josh Robertson. He is currently on a three fight winning streak and was a member of Team Rashad during The Ultimate Fighter 10.
- When Wren steps into the cage Friday night, it will have been 1,868 days since his last fight (5 years, 1 month, 11 days).
- Only official fight in the UFC came at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale and lost a split decision against Jon Madsen.

Raphael Butler (9-1-1) vs. Lorenzo Hood (9-2)
Butler made the transition to MMA in 2010 after being a professional boxer and has gone 4-1-1 in Bellator. He is coming off a submission win in February against Josh Diekmann and his last two victories have come by submission.
- With a victory on Friday, he can tie Vitaly Minakov and Cheick Kongo for the 3rd most victories in Bellator heavyweight division history.
- Currently tied with three other fighters for the 2nd most TKO/KO wins in Bellator heavyweight history.
- Only gone to the decision once in his career.
Hood signed with Bellator earlier this year and enters this fight on a three fight winning streak. All of his fights have ended in the first round and two of his victories have come in under sixty seconds.

- Coming off a TKO victory via a slam.
- The quickest victory of his career came last year when he defeated Jesseray Childrey in sixteen seconds.
