Bellator 141 Medical Suspensions: Guillard, Awad, Primus, and Matthews facing potential six month suspension

The medical suspensions for Bellator 141 have been released by the California State Athletic Commission and four fighters on the card are facing a potential six month suspension.

California State Athletic Commission Executive Director Andy Foster released the medical suspensions on Monday to The MMA Report after they were requested.

Bellator 141 took place this past Friday evening at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California and was headlined by Brandon Girtz upsetting Melvin Guillard by split decision.

The complete Bellator 141 medical suspensions are below:

  • Brandon Girtz: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Melvin Guillard: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (fractured right hand).
  • Patricky Pitbull: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Saad Awad: Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days or clear by physician (laceration to lip); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period. Also, suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (fractured left hand)
  • Justin Wren: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Josh Burns: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (hard bout); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Marloes Coenen: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Arlene Blencowe: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Johnny Cisneros: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Gabriel Miglioli: Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days or clear by physician (laceration to right eye); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Luc Bondole: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Ray Sloan: Suspended 60 days and no contact for 60 days or clear by physician (laceration to eye); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Adrienna Jenkins: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Lissett Neri: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (TKO loss); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Curtis Millender: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Steven Ciaccio: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Antonio McKee Jr.: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • James Barnes: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (KO loss); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Ilima MacFarlane: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Maria Rios: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Brent Primus: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (broken left rib); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Derek Anderson: 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • AJ Matthews: Suspended 180 days and no contact for 180 days or clear by physician (broken left rib); Minimum 7-day mandatory rest period.
  • Emiliano Sordi: Suspended 45 days and no contact for 30 days (TKO loss); Neurological clearance required.
